1. Safety Basics
Hush Local is for adults only. Use caution when interacting with new people online and offline.
2. Report Abuse

- suspicious accounts.
Signed-in members can report from profiles or conversations. Not signed in, unable to access your account, depicted in uploaded content, or unable to use the in-app report button? Contact support@hushlocal.com. Include the profile name, relevant page or profile URL, approximate dates or times, screenshots if helpful, and a brief description of what occurred. Do not send passwords, full payment details, or unnecessary intimate media.
3. Protect Your Privacy
- Review your profile visibility.
- Use location settings carefully.
- Do not share information you do not want others to know.
- Use blocking and reporting tools.
4. Meeting Offline
Meet in public places, tell a trusted person, and use ordinary personal safety precautions.
5. Consent, Impairment, and Safer Kink
Consent must be informed, specific, freely given, and ongoing. Anyone may withdraw consent at any time. Profile tags, prior contact, clothing, gifts, alcohol or drug use, and earlier consent never create automatic consent. A substantially impaired person may be unable to consent.
Before kink or fetish activity, discuss boundaries, health considerations, intensity, aftercare, safewords or nonverbal stop signals, and what happens if someone changes their mind. Stop when consent is withdrawn or a stop signal is used.
6. Check-Ins, Location Privacy, and Quick Exit
Consider meeting publicly first, arranging a check-in with someone you trust, using Hush Local Safety Signal where appropriate, and keeping your own transportation. Public map markers are approximate, but you should still avoid sharing a home address or routine before you are comfortable. Quick Exit leaves Hush Local quickly but cannot erase browser, network, device, or third-party records.
7. Unsolicited Images, Harassment, and Sexual Health
Do not send intimate images without permission. Block and report harassment, threats, coercion, suspected trafficking, suspected minors, scams, or non-consensual intimate imagery from the relevant profile or conversation. For sexual-health information or care, use qualified local health professionals and public-health resources; Hush Local does not provide medical advice.
8. Emergency
If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
