Hush Local operates an adult social networking and location-based discovery platform from Ontario, Canada.

2. Information We Collect

• location data, including precise browser geolocation when enabled;

• approximate public map location;

4. Location Data

The service uses location data to provide core features. You may be required to permit browser location access to use certain functions. We may use:

• precise location internally;

• approximate location publicly;

• destination or virtual-travel location for paid features. We do not publicly display exact GPS coordinates. Approximate map placement is used to reduce the risk of revealing an exact residence, building, or route history.

5. Public Visibility and Recent Activity

A registered account with a saved approximate marker may remain discoverable and be clearly labelled Offline after logout. A disconnected guest changes from Live to Recently active and may remain visible for up to five minutes; reconnecting during that period restores the same temporary profile and marker. Exact GPS coordinates are not publicly displayed. Pause, blocking, account enforcement, and available privacy controls continue to apply.

6. Media Review and Admin Access

Uploaded media may be reviewed by moderators or administrators for safety, enforcement, abuse prevention, legal compliance, and quality control. Do not upload content if you do not want it to be reviewed in accordance with this Policy and our Terms.

7. Sharing and Disclosure

We may share information:

• with service providers and processors;

• with payment processors;

• with hosting, security, analytics, and moderation vendors;

• to comply with law or lawful requests;

• to protect rights, safety, and security;

• in connection with a corporate transaction.

8. International Transfers

Hush Local is hosted in Canada. A service provider, including a payment or email provider, may process limited data in another jurisdiction where its service operates. When this occurs, the applicable jurisdiction and provider role should be disclosed through this Policy, checkout, or the relevant feature notice as configuration changes.

9. Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required for legal, security, tax, accounting, moderation, or law-enforcement preservation purposes. Guest data may be deleted after session expiration, except where retained for safety, abuse prevention, legal hold, or compliance purposes.

Ordinary conversation messages are encrypted at rest and scheduled for deletion 30 days after creation. Messages selected as report evidence, retained for safety, or subject to a legal hold or lawful preservation request may be kept longer. Authorized administrator access to retained private messages and media is logged.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port certain personal information, and to withdraw consent in some circumstances. Some rights may be limited by legal retention, abuse-prevention, or safety obligations.

11. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, but no system is perfectly secure.

12. Children

The service is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that a minor has used the service, we may delete or restrict the relevant account and content.

13. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the site with a new effective date.
